Literature Text

My mistress’ eyes are somewhat like the sun if you squint at them in the correct lighting and at the right time of day

My mistress’ eyes are a tad bit like the sun;
Paint is far more red then her lipstick’s red;
If paper is white why then the ink has run;
If hair be wires her conditioner must be dead.
I have seen roses at the corner store;
But her cheeks are really pale by compare;
Some parsley or some mint I think for sure;
Smell better then her thoughts that stain the air.
She sure seems to talk a lot I know,
And it really does grate upon my nerves;
And whenever there’s somewhere to go;
The grounds shake I often do observe-s.
Any yet I realize I suck at writing this poem
So ill give up and tell her to go home.
okay so the original sonnet is shakespears:
My mistress's eyes are nothing like the sun;
Coral is far more red than her lip's red;
If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun,
If hair be wires, black wires grow on her head.
I have seen roses damasked, red and white,
But no such roses see I in her cheeks;
In some perfumes there is more delight
Than the breath with which my mistress reeks.
I love to hear her speak, yet well I know,
Music hath a far more pleasing sound;
I grant I never saw a goddess go;
My mistress, when she walks, treads on the ground.
And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare
As any she belied with false compare.

this was originally my friends idea but hey, i finally finished it.
